“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Lt. Cmdr. Dale Taylor, Lt. J.G. Thomas Cameron, Chief Petty Officer Fernando Jorge, and Petty Officer 3rd Class Andrew Knight, who died Tuesday evening when their helicopter crashed into Mobile Bay during a Coast Guard training exercise. There are no words that can ease these families suffering, but we pray they will find comfort in the memories of their loved ones and the knowledge that their service and sacrifice will be forever remembered by a grateful nation.”
Representative Ford is a Democrat from Gadsden. He has served in the Alabama House of Representatives since 2000. In 2010, Representative Ford was elected House Minority Leader by the House Democratic Caucus.
