Saturday, March 4, 2017, thousands of supporters of President Donald J. Trump held rallies in dozens of American cities, including in Berkley, California, where Trump marchers were attacked by a mob of violent leftists. In Hoover the Jefferson County Republican Party, the Alabama Constitutional Conservatives, the Alabama Minority GOP, and Alabama March for Trump held a joint “Spirit of America” rally in the parking lot of Hoover Tactical Firearms.

Republicans Gather for Debate Watch Party

An estimated 90 Birmingham area Republicans gathered to support Donald J. Trump at a debate watch party at Superior Grill in Northern Shelby County. The event was sponsored by the Greater Birmingham Republican Women, the Alabama Constitutional Conservatives, the Jefferson County Republican Party, the Alabama Minority GOP.

As expected, Trump got many enthusiastic rounds of applause and cheers from the conservative groups in his debate with former Secretary of State Hillary R. Clinton.

Alabama Republicans’ Thoughts on Debate

Monday, September 26—Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton faced off for their first debate. For those expecting fireworks, it did not disappoint. The debate was hosted at Hofstra University and moderated by NBC News’ Lester Holt. The Alabama Political Reporter (APR) watched it in Vestavia Hills with the Alabama Minority GOP, the Constitutional Conservatives and the Jefferson County Republican Party. The strongly pro-Trump crowd cheered every minute.

Presidential Debate Watch Parties Tonight

Monday, September 26, 2016, with the race essentially tied the two presidential candidates meet for the first debate. A surging Donald Trump faces former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at Hofstra University.

The Alabama Constitutional Conservatives, the Jefferson County Republican Party, and the Minority GOP are hosting a debate watch party at Vestavia Hills.

The covered dish supper begins at 7:00 and will be at 1401 Montgomery Highway, Vestavia. There will be a meeting of the Minority GOP prior to the event.

Pro-Immigration Reform Groups Rally in Montgomery

Wednesday, August 3, 2016, local leaders from Birmingham, Troy, Livingston, and Montgomery came together for a Day of Action to rally and showcase new research on immigration contributions in Alabama and highlight what they claim is a critical need for immigration reform. The event was sponsored by the Partnership for a New American Economy (NAE).

The Executive Director of the Hispanic Interest Coalition of Alabama, Isabel Rubio said, “We cannot ignore the value that immigrant entrepreneurs make in Alabama’s economy, we must continue to work towards comprehensive immigration reform to fix our broken immigration system.”

Shedd Says that Selection of McCutcheon Means Turning the Page From Corruption

Frankowski: Possiblity Pryor Appointment to USSC by Trump is Exciting for Alabamians

On Thursday, May 18, prominent conservative activists and Trump for President supporter, Deanna Frankowski said that she is excited by the announcement that former Alabama Attorney General Bill Pryor could be Donald Trump’s selection for the United States Supreme Court.

Deanna Frankowski told the Alabama Political Reporter, “The selection of the Honorable William Holcomb Pryor, Jr. as a possible candidate for a Supreme Court Justice by Donald J. Trump is very exciting for Alabamians! We believe that Judge Pryor is a perfect fit to fulfill the wishes of Conservatives in Alabama and throughout the country as his core values and beliefs fall in line with Conservative values and beliefs. Mr. Trump had previously mentioned Judge Pryor and we are excited that Mr. Trump has continued to believe that Judge Pryor is a great fit for the Supreme Court. On Tuesday, April 26, New York City businessman and reality TV star Donald won five state primaries by shockingly large margins after remaining rivals Ohio Governor John Kasich and US Senator Ted Cruz announced their plans to coordinate their resources to block the billionaire from getting the 1237 delegates needed to win the nomination at the Republican convention in Cleveland. Even though he himself had no mathematical path to achieving victory, Senator Cruz announced that he would fight on and that Indiana would be his firewall. He even held a press conference in Indiana to announce that businesswoman Carly Fiorina would be his Vice Presidential nominee.

Conservative Groups React to Senate Bill Not to Repay the Trust Fund

On Wednesday, April 13, the Alabama Senate voted not to repay the $437 million of principal that they raided from the Alabama Trust Fund in 2012. Senate Bill 267, sponsored by State Senator Bill Hightower, instead would divert most of the BP oil spill settlement money to new road construction, over half of it to Mobile and Baldwin Counties.

In 2012 a number of prominent conservative groups had predicted that the legislature had no intention of paying the money back when Alabama Governor Robert Bentley (R) and the legislators promised the voters that they would pay the money back if the voters approved the massive bond raid. Now some of those same conservative leaders are saying, “I told you so” to voters.

Reactions to the allegations against Gov. Robert Bentley (R) and his top aide, Mrs. Rebekah Caldwell Mason, continue to pour in.

State Senator Shay Shelnutt (R-Trussville) said, “Today I ask for two things. One I ask the people of Alabama to pray for our leaders and especially Governor Bentley and his family. Second I ask Governor Bentley to think about the citizens of Alabama and the State he loves and resign immediately. There is absolutely no way he can be an effective leader for our State from this point forward.”
