Last Tuesday, President Donald Trump came before Congress and the American people to deliver his first State of the Union Address. President Trump presented an optimistic, unifying vision for the United States and called on Republicans and Democrats to work together for the betterment of America.

Many people have described the speech as a “pep rally for America,” and I tend to agree with that analysis. President Trump highlighted several things that make our country so great, but he also didn’t shy away from the challenges we still face.

Ball Claims Political Suppression

MONTGOMERY—Former law enforcement officer/turned politico, State Rep. Mike Ball (R-Huntsville) testified last October that a phone call from Deputy Attorney General Matt Hart was proof of prosecutorial misconduct, in the Speaker Mike Hubbard felony case.

Ball was represented during his testimony before Judge Jacob Walker III, by former Attorney General Bill Baxley. Last month on Huntsville radio, Ball claimed not only was Hart guilty of prosecutorial misconduct, but he had also tried to suppress Ball’s political activities. Ball voiced these newly found concerns only after his attorney (Baxley) became Hubbard’s lead counsel in early March. This is not the first time a Baxley client has testified to prosecutorial misconduct, to later be disgraced.

Trump Event Moved to Bigger Venue

Donald Trump is creating buzz in the political world and that buzz is creating growing momentum.  And Alabama is no exception.  On Monday, Donald Trump announced that he was coming to Mobile to speak at a campaign pep rally in the Mobile Civic Center.  Mobile does not have a civic center that is big enough to contain Trump mania.  After 30,000 people went online to get their Trump pep rally tickets, the event had to be moved to Mobile’s Ladd-People’s stadium.
