What do Alabama Republican lawmakers and Trump haters have in common?

Alabama Republican lawmakers want the public to believe they are among President Donald Trump’s most avid supporters; however, many take money from those who back Trump haters.

A look at campaign donations given by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians finds they financially back Trump’s most ardent enemies.

From Hillary Clinton to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and beyond, the tribe’s cash contributions show its money goes to those who would stop Trump’s agenda and even impeach the current commander in chief.

The Poarch Creeks’ cash donations to ultra-liberal, pro-immigration and anti-Trump candidates break with Republican state lawmakers who claim to be on the Trump train.

Here in Alabama, Republican lawmakers and other GOP elected officials gladly accept Poarch Creeks’ casino money despite the tribe’s alliance with National Democrats and Trump’s enemies.

The tribe’s giving to candidates for national office not only includes Alabama’s Democrat U.S. Senator Doug Jones but also the first openly bisexual senator, Arizona’s Kyrsten Sinema. Poarch Creeks have also contributed to Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-WI, the first openly gay woman elected to Congress as well as liberal New Jersey U.S. Senator and presidential hopeful Cory Booker. The tribe is a backer of Democrat Congresswoman and former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

The tribe’s money flowed into Clinton’s presidential bid, and the Poarch Creeks repeatedly back Barack Obama.

No records show the Poarch Creeks aligned with Trump or offered him campaign donations. In fact, the tribe appears to have not contributed to any Republican presidential candidate.

The tribe does, however, give to the pro-illegal immigration group, Committee for Hispanic Causes-BOLD PAC.

While state Republicans want to help Trump build his wall, the Poarch Creeks aid those who believe in open borders.

The Poarch Creeks contribution to DNC Services matches those given by notoriously maligned liberal donor George Soros.

Why Alabama Republicans cater to the Poarch Creeks while they aid Trump haters is a question unanswered.
