The Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries will be holding a state-wide series of listening sessions hosted by Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Rick Pate starting on Sept. 4, 2019, at the Central Alabama Farmers Co-Op in Selma, Alabama.

The sessions will work to provide a former for the public to discuss and ask questions about state agricultural concerns and department services.

Each week, Pate and department staff will provide updates on the department’s activities and open the floor for questions.

The first session will focus on agriculture in Alabama’s Black Belt. It will take place from 1:20 p.m. to 3 p.m.
