Winning for Women endorses Jessica Taylor for Congress

Wednesday, Winning for Women PAC endorsed businesswoman Jessica Taylor for Congress in Alabama’s Second District.

“We’re proud to endorse such strong, qualified conservative women,” Winning for Women Executive Director Rebecca Schuller said. “Not only will Winning For Women’s PAC provide critical hard-dollar support to their campaigns, but it will also activate on their behalf a grassroots army of nearly 700,000 members nationwide. This election is about defining the kind of country we want America to be, and our endorsed candidates will go to Washington to fight against extreme liberal policies like socialism, a government takeover of our healthcare system and the Green New Deal.”

“Our momentum is building, and this latest endorsement from Winning for Women is proof of our growing campaign,” Jessica Taylor said on the endorsement. As your congresswoman, I will fight for our conservative Alabama values, and I will make it my mission to take on AOC and her socialist ‘squad’. I will protect the right to life, defend the Second Amendment, help build the wall, and support President Trump from these radical socialists in the swamp. We, as conservatives, need our own squad to show America that socialism is not the answer and that conservative values are the values of freedom and prosperity. I am humbled to have the support of Winning for Women, and I look forward to earning the confidence of Alabama’s conservative voters in next year’s election.”

Winning for Women is an organization supporting conservative women leaders. WFW bases its endorsements off a number of metrics, including: significant fundraising numbers proportionate to the candidate’s district; an established campaign team; and a viable path to success through the primary and general elections.

Winning for Women: WFW PAC like EPAC and View PAC provides hard-dollar support to help fuel the campaigns of top women candidates. Through its nationwide network, WFW’s nearly 700,000 members will also provide small-dollar and grassroots support. VIEW PAC endorsed Taylor earlier this week.

WFW Action Fund (WFW AF) is a Super PAC launched earlier this year. The Taylor campaign is hoping that it will also provide critical, outside early support that is a key factor in winning elections. WFW AF is the only outside group of its kind focused solely on electing more GOP women.

Taylor told Birmingham talk radio hosts Matt Murphy and Aundrea Lindenberg: “I’ll fight to protect life, the 2nd amendment, our borders, our military, our free-enterprise system, and President Trump from the socialists in the swamp.”

Taylor was asked about the impeachment effort against President Trump.

“Absolutely, I think this is nothing short of a coup,” Taylor said. “It’s the Democrats trying to undo this election behind closed doors and I am so glad that Republicans are standing up for the President.”

“I come from small town Alabama, a little town called Weaver,” Taylor said emphasizing her small town roots. Taylor has lived in Prattville for the last ten years with her husband Brian and their three children.

“I think we have all had enough of the arrogant liberal Democrats running the show in the swamp telling us how to live our lives in Alabama,” Taylor said. “It is time for us to have a new generation of conservatives who can go toe to toe with AOC and her squad.”

Taylor has released a new viral ad in which she denounced socialists.

“I am getting attacked by folks all over social media for name calling,” Taylor said of the response. “I did not make up that name. AOC identifies herself as a socialist and that is extremely scary to me.”

“I am not a career politician. I have never run for office. I was not born into a trust fund; I was born into a trailer park where nobody was rich but everybody worked hard.”

“I built my business from scratch,” Taylor said. My parents pulled themselves up by their boot straps.

“[President Trump] has gone to the swamp to drain it. He means business and his results speak for themselves.”

Taylor is married to former State Senator Brian Taylor, R-Prattville. Mr. Taylor recently left his position as Governor Kay Ivey’s (R) general counsel in order to help his wife’s congressional campaign.

Incumbent Congresswoman Martha Roby, R-Montgomery, is not seeking another term in Congress so the Second District is open in 2020.

The Republican primary will be March 3.
