The 2018 Young Republican Federation of Alabama (YRFA) Summer Meeting will take place Friday, August 17th through Saturday, August 18th in downtown Birmingham.

The YRFA said in a release, “We are so excited about an outstanding weekend of politics, networking, community service, and fun…all with your favorite YR friends!”

All club chairs, state committeemen, and state committeewomen are required to attend this meeting. All other YRs are strongly encouraged to attend. Officers who are required to attend but can’t be there can send a proxy in their place. Email YRFA Secretary Dalton Dismukes at [email protected] for more information.

The YRFA will begin with a service project at 4:45 pm on Friday. The YRFAs will be serving dinner at the Jimmie Hale Mission Shepura Men’s Center at 4:45. The YRFAs need 7 volunteers.

The welcome reception will be at the new TopGolf facility adjacent to the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. The event includes golf, dinner, reserved Bays, and club rentals. Space is limited so attendees must RSVP to attend the welcome reception.

RSVP to Chair Jackie Curtiss at [email protected] to volunteer for the service project at the Jimmie Hale Mission or to attend the welcome reception.

The brand new Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Birmingham will serve as the official meeting hotel. The YRFA have secured a special room rate of $109 and free parking. To secure the special room rate contact former YRFA Secretary Jason DeLuca, who is the GM of the hotel at [email protected].
The Saturday business meeting begins at 8:30 am with registration and breakfast. The formal business meeting begins at 9:00 am.

The price for tickets, which includes all activities, is only $25. Keeping the tickets affordably has been a goal of the club.
