Central Alabama Pride unveils Pride Week 2025 schedule

Pride Week will feature more than two dozen events, including drag brunch, a sunset parade and PrideFest with RuPaul’s Drag Race stars.

Central Alabama Pride has said they are proud to announce the full schedule for Pride Week 2025, returning June 1–15 with over two dozen events “designed to celebrate, uplift, and unite the LGBTQ+ community and allies across the Magic City,” shared the organization.

This year marks the 47th anniversary of Central Alabama Pride, and organizers are preparing for one of the most ambitious celebrations in the event’s history, including headline appearances from RuPaul’s Drag Race stars and marquee events drawing thousands from across the region.

“This year’s theme, The Magic of Pride, reminds us that when we come together in celebration and solidarity, something powerful happens. We create joy. We build community. And we show the world that Alabama’s LGBTQ+ voices are here and thriving,” said Josh Coleman, president of Central Alabama Pride. “Whether it’s your first Pride or your fiftieth, there’s a place for you in this celebration.”

PRIDE DRAG BRUNCH

Saturday, June 14 at 11 a.m. | Boutwell Auditorium

The weekend kicks off with Birmingham’s most talked-about drag event: the Pride Drag Brunch. Hosted at the Boutwell Auditorium, the show features Drag Race favorites Miz Cracker and The Widow Von’Du alongside local talent. Guests can choose from multiple ticket tiers, including full brunch service, VIP seating, and meet-and-greets. Early ticket purchase is strongly encouraged.

PRIDE PARADE

Saturday, June 14 at 8 p.m. | 7th Avenue South, Lakeview District

Immediately following brunch, Birmingham’s streets will come alive as the Pride in the Magic City Parade marches through the Lakeview District. This sunset parade features colorful floats, community groups, local leaders, and grand marshals celebrating Alabama’s LGBTQ+ pride, visibility, and resilience.

47th ANNUAL PRIDEFEST

Sunday, June 15 from Noon–6 p.m. | Linn Park, Downtown Birmingham

Pride Week concludes with PrideFest 2025, a free, family-friendly festival in the heart of downtown Birmingham. This year’s entertainment lineup includes RuPauls Drag Race Stars- Sapphira Cristal, Darienne Lake, India Ferrah, DeJa Skye, and The Widow Von’Du, alongside live music performances from Ahli and Jules Lies, all hosted by Obsinity and Dominique Divine. Festivalgoers can enjoy food trucks, local vendors, health resources, and a full-day celebration of community, joy, and pride.

Pride Week features a wide array of events for all ages and interests — including Somos Un Pride, the Barons’ Pride Night at Regions Field, a Pride Hike at Oak Mountain State Park, a Drag King Showcase, community worship services and more.
