U.S. Representative Terri Sewell, D-Alabama, will continue her annual Congress in Your Community Tour with a live telephone town hall at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Jerome Dees, policy director for Southern Poverty Law Center Alabama; Debbie Smith, Cover Alabama campaign director for Alabama Arise; and Dontrelle Young Foster, president and CEO of the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District, will join Sewell.
The panel will discuss the affordability crisis and Sewell’s efforts to lower the cost of housing, health care and other necessities. Sewell’s office said the panelists also will discuss efforts to protect the upcoming midterm elections and ensure officials count every eligible vote.
The hourlong event will end with a question-and-answer session featuring questions from participants.
