Amanda Brown joins Ross Taylor & Associates lobbying firm

Brown brings bipartisan legislative experience and executive branch insight from work with the Senate Democratic Caucus and two Alabama governors.

Amanda Brown, former chief of staff to the Alabama Senate Democratic Caucus, has joined Ross Taylor & Associates, the firm announced Monday.

The governmental affairs and strategic consulting firm has offices in Montgomery, Tuscaloosa and Birmingham.

“We are fortunate that Amanda has chosen to bring her years of experience and impressive ability to work both sides of the aisle to our firm,” founders John Ross and Charlie Taylor said. “Amanda’s public policy background, her trusting relationships, and the reputation she has built throughout state government will help Ross Taylor & Associates serve our clients’ needs as we seek commonsense solutions to the problems that face Alabama.”

Brown spent eight years with the Senate Democratic Caucus, first as staff attorney and later as chief of staff. She also worked under two Alabama governors from 2016 to 2018, according to the firm’s press release.

“Throughout each role she has held, Brown placed policy and the public’s interests ahead of partisanship and worked effectively with both Democratic and Republican members of the Alabama House and Senate. Her efforts to foster bipartisan cooperation routinely resulted in the passage of meaningful legislation,” the release said.

Senate Minority Leader Bobby Singleton, D-Greensboro, praised Brown’s work as his chief of staff and offered her “my sincere gratitude, my utmost respect, and my full support.”

“Amanda’s career reflects a dedication to building bridges, finding common ground, and serving Alabama’s people through collaboration and a deep understanding of the legislative process,” Singleton said. “I wish her continued success, fulfillment, and every opportunity to thrive in this next chapter.”
