Montgomery launches campaign benefiting survivors of domestic violence
Residents and groups can give hygiene essentials through November 11 to help assemble 200 care bags for local support organizations.

Montgomery is collecting personal care and hygiene products through November 11 to support domestic violence survivors and families seeking services.
The mayor’s office and Office of Violence Prevention launched the “Montgomery Cares: Hope & Healing Drive” on October 20 in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Donations will fill 200 care bags, with 100 each going to the Family Sunshine Center and One Place Family Justice Center.
“Montgomery Cares reflects the compassion and generosity of our community,” Mayor Steven L. Reed said. “By coming together to donate everyday essentials, we can help provide comfort, dignity, and hope to individuals and families on their journey toward safety, healing, and stability.”
