The legislation can now be considered by the full Alabama House of Representatives.


The Alabama Republican Assembly is urging its supporters to call their legislators and ask them to vote no on the bill.


The legislation would make it a class A felony in Alabama for a physician not to provide competent care.


The Alabama Senate is expected to vote on Sen. Jim McClendon's lottery bill, SB319, when it meets on Tuesday.
