Annual March for Life in Washington on Friday

By Brandon Moseley

Friday, January 27 over 100,000 protestors will be in Washington D.C. for the annual March for Life.

According to original reporting by the ‘New York Times’ Vice President Mike Pence (R) will address the annual March for Life on Friday.

Scheduled speakers include Kellyanne Conway, Senior Counselor to President Trump; Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York City; Benjamin Watson, Tight End for the Baltimore Ravens; Abby Johnson, Former Planned Parenthood Director and founder of “And Then There Were None”; Karyme Lozano, Mexican telenovela star; Eric Metaxas, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author and host of The Eric Metaxas Show; Bishop Vincent Mathews Jr., President at Church of God In Christ World Missions; U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R from Iowa); U.S. Representative Mia Love (R from Utah); and U.S Representative Chris Smith (R from New Jersey).

VP Mike Pence spoke at the annual pro-life gathering in 2010 while he served in the House of Representatives. The March for Life takes place on or near Jan. 22 each year, the anniversary of the controversial Roe vs. Wade 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide.

U.S. Representative Martha Roby (R from Montgomery) said, “It is our enduring responsibility to defend the unborn, and it is imperative that we get this right. With our unified Republican government already making strides, I’m confident we’ll begin to build a culture that truly values life — at every stage.”

President Donald J. Trump has accused the media of ignoring Pro-Life marches while giving free publicity to Far Left groups like the Women’s march protest on Saturday. ABC’s David Muir asked Trump if he “could hear the voices from the women’s march here in Washington?”

Pres. Trump responded, “I couldn’t hear them, but the crowds were large. You’re gonna have a large crowd on Friday, too, which is mostly pro-life people. You’re gonna have a lot of people coming on Friday, and I will say this, and I didn’t realize this, but I was told, you will have a very large crowd of people. I don’t know – as large or larger – some people say it’s gonna be larger. Pro-life people. And they say the press doesn’t cover them.”

Students for Life of America posted on social media that, “Kristan Hawkins and other pro-life leaders were invited by Vice President Mike Pence to the White House on the eve of the March for Life. Thank you Mr. Vice President for being a leader of the Pro-Life Generation!”

Congresswoman Roby said recently, “I am unapologetically pro-life, and it is my enduring responsibility to defend the unborn. We have a special opportunity to advance protections for life under a unified Republican government.”

Yesterday marked the 44th anniversary of the infamous Roe v. Wade decision, and we should all spend time in prayer and remembrance for the estimated 60 million unborn lives lost since this tragic ruling.”
