All proclamations by the Office of the Governor of Alabama are now available to the public on the Alabama secretary of state website.

Secretary of State John Merrill has worked to digitize these documents in an effort to promote transparency within the state government.

The governor has the power to issue proclamations on many things, from declaring states of emergency to commemorating events.

Copies of proclamations from 1822 to 2010 can be requested on the website. A complete listing of proclamations from 2007 to present is readily available online.
