UAB to hold online public forum on the delta variant on Aug. 23

The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine will host an online public forum about the latest in COVID-19 news on Monday at 11 a.m. on Zoom. Two top specialists in infectious disease and vaccines will take questions from the public and health care providers.

The panelists will be Jeanne Marrazzo, director of the Division of Infectious Diseases, and Paul Goepfert, director of the Alabama Vaccine Research Clinic. They will discuss the delta variant, vaccine efficacy and safety and hospitalizations.

The panel will be the second installment of UAB’s What’s New With COVID-19 series. The first was held last month.
