Roy has announced that he will be retiring at the end of 2022, but they “wanted to make sure the broader membership is also aware.”

Roy has been with APPCO for more than 21 years and served in his current capacity with Manufacture Alabama for the last 13 years.

“He will be greatly missed by both the members of Manfuacture Alabama and the staff alike,” they stated.

“Each day, Roy brings a career of industry experience, technical expertise and a warm personality to the role of Executive Director. His direct involvement in meeting the needs of the APPCO and Manufacture Alabama Environmental Committee has been vital to ensure our members receive the value which they expect. Roy has been a cornerstone of the association for years and his experience, technical know-how, unwavering character and professionalism will be sorely missed upon retirement,” they said.

“Leaving APPCO and Manufacture Alabama is bittersweet for me. I have truly enjoyed my time here with the team at Manufacture Alabama and the amazing members we have the pleasure of serving,” said Roy McAuley.
