Governor appoints 26 to key state and local positions

Governor Kay Ivey has announced the appointment of 26 individuals to a range of state and local boards and commissions, underscoring her administration’s commitment to fostering expertise and leadership across Alabama’s public service landscape. The appointments include a mix of new appointees and reappointments to ensure continuity and innovation in these vital roles.

Key Appointments Include:

Alabama General Contractors Licensure Board:

  • Mr. Algernon Stanley (Reappointed)

Construction Recruitment Institute:

  • Mr. Jerry Grissom (Reappointed)

Private Investigators Board:

  • Mr. Ivan Gray, Ms. Tegan Frazier, Ms. Amber May (New Appointments)
  • Ms. Anita Archie, Ms. Melanie Little (Reappointments)

Bear Creek Development Authority:

  • Mr. Charles Hipps, Mr. Gabriel Sapalaran (Reappointed)

State Board of Pharmacy:

  • Dr. Brandon Hicks, Ms. Cynthia Hooper, Mr. Jacques Austin, Mr. Nicholas Beckham, Mr. Kevin Ball (New Appointments)
  • Mr. Brian Scheri (Reappointed)

Winston County Commissioner, District 2:

  • Mr. Roger Hayes (New Appointment)

Other appointments span boards focused on nursing, child welfare, construction, digital literacy, and interagency coordination for early intervention, reflecting a broad spectrum of public needs.
