The Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama endorses Tommy Tuberville for governor

The trade association endorsed Tommy Tuberville for governor, citing his commitment to supporting policies that promote economic growth.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville

The Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama, a nonprofit trade association representing over 200 petroleum marketers and convenience store operators across the state, has announced its endorsement of Tommy Tuberville for Governor of Alabama

With a membership that includes companies owning, operating and/or supplying more than 3,250 convenience stores throughout Alabama, and employing almost 60,000 people across the state, P&CMA plays a vital role in supporting the state’s energy infrastructure and small business community. P&CMA members include both major- branded and independent petroleum marketers, as well as operators of locally owned convenience stores that serve Alabama’s communities.

Tommy Tuberville understands the challenges facing Alabama’s energy and retail sectors, and he is committed to supporting policies that promote economic growth, protect small businesses, and ensure a reliable fuel supply across the state,” said Rex Jones, chair of the P&CMA Board of Directors. “Senator Tuberville will be a strong advocate for our members in Montgomery as our next Governor. He truly understands what it takes to drive economic growth and create opportunities for local families and businesses,” Jones went on to say.

The endorsement was made following a vote of the association’s elected Board of Directors, who are themselves owners and operators in the petroleum marketing and convenience store industry. “Their decision reflects a shared confidence in Senator Tuberville’s leadership, experience, and dedication to the people of Alabama,” their release shared.

“On behalf of our more than 350 member companies and the thousands of employees they represent, we are proud to support Tommy Tuberville as the next Governor of Alabama,” said Bart Fletcher, president of P&CMA. We look forward to working together to advance a strong business climate and a bright future for our state.”
