Casey’s campaign for AG surged, leading with individual contributors statewide.

Pamela Casey, a Republican candidate for Attorney General, announced a surge of campaign donations, reporting contributions from 106 donors in just 12 days. This makes her campaign the leader in individual contributors in the Attorney General’s race, and second in the state overall—trailing only U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville’s gubernatorial campaign.

Casey emphasized the statewide nature of her support, noting that donors from all seven of Alabama’s Congressional districts are represented in her first required financial filing of the election year. She credits her experience as the only candidate in the race who has prosecuted criminals as a key factor behind the grassroots momentum.

“I have traveled all over the state for the past several months and my message has been clear. I am the only candidate for Attorney General that has ever been in a courtroom and prosecuted criminals,” Casey said. “As a career prosecutor, I have the experience to do the job from the moment I am sworn in because I have almost two decades of experience prosecuting and convicting thieves, rapists, child predators and murderers and standing with law enforcement.”

She further stated, “Crime is one of the most serious issues that families deal with, and they want an Attorney General who has actual real-world experience taking on the bad guys and winning. The Attorney General is the chief law enforcement office for the state. I am the only one in the race that has stared down a criminal in the courtroom and presented a case to a jury. That is what the people of Alabama want, an Attorney General that will work and fight to Make Alabama Safe.”

Among the donors supporting her campaign are fellow district attorneys, active and retired law enforcement officers, business owners, teachers and attorneys.

Other candidates for Attorney General include Jay Mitchell, who reported a transfer of funds from his Supreme Court account, and Katherine Robertson, who did not file a report, indicating she did not raise more than $1,000—the threshold for mandatory reporting.
