Wes Allen on Thursday announced the addition of a new member to his campaign team in his effort to become Alabama’s next Republican lieutenant governor. Brilyn Hollyhand, the chair of the Republican National Committee’s Youth Advisory Council, podcast host and bestselling author, will serve as Allen’s statewide youth campaign coordinator.

In this role, Hollyhand will mobilize young conservatives across Alabama, organize campus coalitions, and “build a movement that amplifies Allen’s strong conservative Republican record and his reputation as one of the state’s most reliable and dedicated Republican leaders,” according to his release.

“I am excited to announce that Brilyn is joining our campaign team,” Allen said. “He is an enthusiastic, intelligent and experienced conservative who loves our nation and our state. He is a fantastic leader in the conservative Republican movement and he will be a valuable asset to this campaign.”

Hollyhand is a frequent guest on national news networks including Fox News, ABC News and Newsmax. His podcast, “The Brilyn Hollyhand Show,” has featured interviews with high-level political figures and his book, One Generation Away: Why Now is the Time to Restore American Freedom, debuted at #2 on the Amazon bestsellers list, Allen’s release shared.

“Gen Z is tired of being lectured about why bigger government is our only future,” Hollyhand said. “We’re ready to fight for freedom, opportunity, and the Alabama values we were raised on-and I’m thrilled to help Wes Allen turn that energy into action statewide.”

Hollyhand is a native of Tuscaloosa and will begin his studies at Auburn University in the fall.

Wes Allen currently serves as Alabama’s 54th secretary of state and will seek the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor on the May 19, 2026, primary ballot.
