ProgressPAC, the Business Council of Alabama’s pro-jobs political affiliate, announced Wednesday its endorsement of Tuscaloosa native Norman Crow for the Alabama House of Representatives District 63 seat in the upcoming special election.

“The Tuscaloosa City Council member has a long history of serving his hometown. A lifelong businessman and public servant, Crow brings extensive experience from both the private and public sectors. Through his various civic leadership roles in the community, Crow has shown his dedication to the business community and its members,” the organization shared.

“In this cycle’s special election, we have kept our commitment to supporting candidates who will advance Alabama’s business community,” said ProgressPAC Chairman Gary Smith. “Norman Crow has shown remarkable character throughout his extensive experience as a businessman and his tenure on the Tuscaloosa City Council. His insight into community development, local business growth, and pro-business principles will make Norman an invaluable member of the state House.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of ProgressPAC for my Alabama House District 63 race,” said candidate Norman Crow. “This endorsement reflects a shared commitment to advancing economic growth, supporting Alabama’s businesses, and building a stronger future for Alabama. I am grateful for their trust and am excited to work with the Business Council of Alabama to continue growing our state’s economy and working to make our citizens’ quality of life better.”

The House District 63 seat opened following Governor Ivey’s appointment of Representative Cynthia Lee Almond to serve as president of the Alabama Public Service Commission.

The special primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, 2025; the special primary runoff, if necessary, for Tuesday, October 28, 2025; and the special general election for Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
