After more than a decade on television, The Voice of Alabama Politics—Alabama’s longest-running weekly political news and opinion program—will be strategically transitioning to YouTube and other online platforms to broaden its outreach and strengthen engagement with viewers across the state.
This move marks an exciting new chapter for The Voice of Alabama Politics, positioning the show to reach a wider, more diverse audience and interact directly with viewers in real time.
“For twelve years, we’ve brought Alabamians honest conversations about politics and power in our state,” said host and executive producer Bill Britt. “Now, we’re meeting viewers where they are—online. This transition gives us greater flexibility and the opportunity to deliver even more content directly to the people who care most about Alabama’s future.”
The decision comes as audiences increasingly turn to digital platforms for political news and analysis. YouTube and other social media outlets allow The Voice of Alabama Politics to expand its programming, offer on-demand access, and provide exclusive behind-the-scenes features, commentary clips, and real-time viewer interaction.
Subscribers will continue to see the same trusted faces—Bill Britt, Susan Britt, Josh Moon and guests—discussing the week’s most important political developments. The new format will also feature expanded online-only segments, shorter clips and “after the show” discussions available throughout the week.
“Our goal has always been to inform, challenge, and elevate the political conversation in Alabama,” said Susan Britt, co-host and producer. “This transition gives us new tools to do that better than ever before. Viewers can now watch anytime, anywhere—and they can be part of the conversation.”
The Voice of Alabama Politics YouTube channel, which has hosted episodes and clips for more than a decade, will now serve as the program’s central hub. The show will continue to publish full episodes every Sunday, with fresh content added across its online platforms during the week.

As Alabama’s political landscape continues to evolve, so too does its most recognized political program. The platform may change—but The Voice remains the same: sharp, honest and unafraid.
