TRUK PAC, the political arm of the Alabama Trucking Association, announced Monday their official endorsement of Wes Allen, Alabama’s current secretary of state, to serve as the state’s next Republican lieutenant governor.

“Secretary Wes Allen understands that Alabama’s economy is dependent on a vibrant trucking industry which employs 132,000 Alabamians,” said Greg Brown, TRUK PAC chairman. “Small businesses in Alabama are struggling, and we need leaders like Wes who will support low taxes, regulatory relief, fair courts, law enforcement, and highway safety.”

“As Probate Judge, a former state representative, and our current Secretary of State, Wes has been a results-driven leader for Alabama, its employers, and its citizens, and Alabama Trucking is proud to endorse his candidacy for Lieutenant Governor,” the PAC shared.

Wes Allen welcomed the support of the trucking industry which provides more than 130,000 jobs, accounting for approximately 1 in 13 jobs statewide, making it a major source of employment for residents. Beyond jobs, the industry ensures the safe delivery of more than 80 percent of all essential goods across Alabama, including food, medical supplies and construction materials.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of the Alabama Trucking Association. Truckers keep businesses running, shelves stocked, hospitals supplied and families supported. They truly keep the state and national economy rolling,” Allen said. “These are the hardworking men and women that I am proud to work for each and every day.”

Allen announced his candidacy for lieutenant governor in February, 2025. The Republican primary election will be held on May 19, 2026.
