MONTGOMERY—On the same day Mike Hubbard was found guilty of 12 felony counts of public corruption, the building that houses his Auburn Network, LLC, sold for a cash price of $810,000.00 to New Life Properties, LLC.

Hubbard was co-owner of the building located at 197 E University Drive in Auburn.

The titled owner at the time of the sale was Weagle, LLC., which is a North Carolina based LLC in which Hubbard is a named partner, according to State filing. The seller’s closing documents were signed by Mark H. Reese as member of Weagle, LLC.

Other partners in Weagle, LLC., were Douglas P. Gillin, Athletics Director at Appalachian State University, Janeen Lalik, former executive with ISP Sports and IMG College and currently a Senior Vice President, College Athletics at Ticketmaster, Joe Potter, Senior Vice President, Operations for IMG College and formerly with ISP Sport and Micheal K. Wolfert.

Weagle appears to have acquired the property in September 2003 from Hubbard Properties.

Hubbard’s Auburn Network was affiliated with IMG and ISP.

New Life Properties, LLC., an Auburn based company is owned by James “Jim” and Alicia Storbeck. According to Storbeck’s linkedin page he owns Initial Outfitters, Inc., a home party company specializing in personalized jewelry and gifts and New Life Properties, LLC, a commercial and residential holding company.

Hubbard listed the property in May 2015, with an asking price $920,000. The property closed on the day he was found guilty of felony ethics violations.

Last year, an article in the Alabama Political Reporter revealed that Hubbard was trying to sell-off assets that might be subject to State forfeiture laws.

Hubbard is awaiting sentencing on July 8, and could receive a minimum of 2 to 20 years on each count, and up to $30,000 in fines.
