Drive Electric Alabama will sponsor two electric vehicle showcases on Saturday, April 26 – one in Birmingham and another in Eight Mile, just outside Mobile.

In Birmingham, the free Birmingham Earth Day EV Showcase will be at The Market at Pepper Place in Birmingham’s Lakeview neighborhood from 8 a.m. until noon. In the past, members of the Birmingham Area Chapter of Drive Electric Alabama have filled the parking lot adjacent to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams with EVs of all shapes and sizes, including full-sized, all-electric pick-up trucks.

In Mobile, members of the Bay Area Chapter of Drive Electric Alabama will show off their EVs and offer information about EV technology, range, affordability and what it’s like to drive electric on a daily basis at Chickasabogue Park in Eight Mile from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

“There’s no better way to learn about what it’s like to drive an EV than by talking to Alabamians who drive them every day,” said Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition President Michael Staley. “These events offer a fantastic way to find out if driving electric will work for you and your family.”
