Drew Hicks joins Huntsville-based defense contract Minerva Defense

Hicks joined Minerva Defense as vice president for test and evaluation instrumentation programs, bringing over 15 years of defense technology experience.

Minerva Defense, Inc., a Huntsville, Alabama-based small business defense contractor, announced the addition of Mr. Drew Hicks. Hicks will serve as vice president for Test and Evaluation Instrumentation Programs. In this role, Drew will be responsible for leading the strategic development, management and technical oversight of all government and commercial test and evaluation programs for the company.

The company shared that Drew has a tremendous background and track record of success building and managing cross-functional teams and leading complex DoD technical programs. Hicks has over 15 years of experience in military aviation, defense technology, manufacturing operations and managing government contracts in dynamic testing environments. He has also directed multiple strategic initiatives, including manufacturing program management for Redstone Test Center, contract capture strategy and government relations. Hicks has built business units from the ground up, successfully growing programs from small teams into multimillion-dollar portfolios. And he has delivered critical solutions to the U.S. Air Force, Army RCCTO, Redstone Test Center and other DoD customers, the company said.

Prior to joining Minerva, Hicks served in several senior positions with Nomad Global Communication Solutions since 2022. Most recently, he was the senior director of DoD Programs for Nomad. Drew Hicks is a decorated U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He served for over 10 years where he developed expertise in aviation logistics, maintenance and sustainment. Hicks’ experience includes multiple deployments across Central and South America.
