Alabama Farmers Federation endorses Rusty Glover for Senate District 34

Glover previously represented Mobile in the House of Representatives and the state Senate from 2002 to 2018.

The Alabama Farmers Federation on Tuesday announced its endorsement of Rusty Glover for Alabama Senate District 34, which covers Mobile County.

“Rusty Glover has served in the Legislature before, so we know who and what he is – a true conservative who will represent the farmers and the people of this district with honesty and integrity,” said Art Sessions, Mobile County Farmers Federation president. “We are excited he is running again and are proud to support him in his efforts.”

Glover received his associate’s degree from Faulkner State Community College, BS and M.ED degrees in Education along with an MA in History from the University of South Alabama. He was a teacher for 25 years at Mary G. Montgomery High School in Semmes.

Glover previously represented Mobile in the House of Representatives and the state Senate from 2002 to 2018. He served as the majority whip and had a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment voting record, the Federation shared. He was known for supporting small businesses and consistently standing against raising taxes.

“It is truly an honor to be endorsed by such a great group of hard-working men and women in Mobile County,” said Glover. “I look forward to working with them on the conservative values we both hold dear.”

Glover and his wife of 35 years, Connie, have two married daughters and three grandchildren. They attend Wilmer Baptist Church.

The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization with more than 362,000 member families. It uses a grassroots approach to select candidates, relying on Alabama FarmPAC endorsements from county Farmers Federation boards of directors for local elections.
