ProgressPAC, the political affiliate of the Business Council of Alabama, announced Tuesday its endorsement of Caroleene Dobson in her campaign for Alabama secretary of state.

A native of Monroe County with deep roots in Alabama’s agricultural community, “Dobson brings not only first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by small businesses but also a bold vision to ensure that Alabama remains a pro-business state,” the organization said.

“Caroleene Dobson understands the needs of hardworking Alabamians and the businesses that drive our economy,” said ProgressPAC Chairman Gary Smith. “She has the intellect and experience to ensure fair and secure elections, but equally important – she will be a staunch advocate for business owners across Alabama by safeguarding business filings, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and upholding transparency and accountability.”

ProgressPAC said it is confident that Caroleene Dobson will proactively work to maintain Alabama’s election integrity, strengthen business services, and continue to promote an efficient and transparent Secretary of State’s office that works for all Alabamians.

“Caroleene brings a unique combination of legal expertise, rural values, and a heart for public service,” said Helena Duncan, president and CEO of BCA. “She is exactly the kind of leader Alabama needs in the Secretary of State’s office —someone who will not only uphold the integrity of our elections but also modernize and strengthen the office’s support for businesses, of all sizes, across the state.”
