The Alabama Republican Party successfully completed the first phase of the RNC’s GROW program, a rigorous benchmark for state parties.

The Alabama Republican Party announced Tuesday it has successfully completed the first phase of the Republican National Committee’s GROW (Growing Republican Organizations to Win) program. “Alabama is one of the very first states in the country to reach this milestone, positioning the Party for continued success as it moves into the next phase of the rigorous program,” the Party shared.

The GROW program consists of three phases—On the Rise, Leaders’ Circle and Chairman’s Circle—and is based on incentives awarded upon completion. The ALGOP has now completed the On the Rise phase, earning recognition and resources that will strengthen the Party’s operations as the 2026 election cycle approaches.

ALGOP Chairman John Wahl made the following statement:

“I could not be prouder of our team here in Alabama. The GROW program is one of the most rigorous benchmarks the RNC sets for state parties, and year after year Alabama is among the very first to complete all requirements. This is a reflection of the exceptional work our staff does, their high standards, and their commitment to going above and beyond.”

Chairman Wahl also highlighted the importance of the GROW program in helping the Party prepare for future victories:

“The resources and recognition that come with completing GROW are not just accolades—they are investments in the Alabama GOP’s future. These incentives will help us build stronger grassroots operations, expand our communications, and enhance our ability to win elections up and down the ballot in 2026. Alabama Republicans are proving that with the right team and the right vision, we can set the standard for state parties nationwide.”

Looking ahead, the Alabama Republican Party is preparing to enter the Leaders’ Circle phase, which requires parties to finalize and implement comprehensive strategic plans. Successful completion of both On the Rise and Leaders’ Circle by December 15, 2025, will elevate Alabama to the elite Chairman’s Circle tier.

“We are excited to continue working to build Alabama’s reputation at the national level,” Wahl said. “From day one, our mission has been to make Alabama a conservative stronghold and a model for Republican leadership across the nation.”
