Manufacture Alabama announced Monday its endorsements for Speaker of the House Nathaniel Ledbetter and Senate President Pro Tempore Garlan Gudger for reelection to the Alabama Legislature and for their continued service in the roles leading their respective chambers.

Manufacture Alabama, the only trade association dedicated exclusively to the competitive, legislative, regulatory and operational interests of manufacturers in Alabama, endorsed both leaders “for their strong, consistent support of policies that strengthen the state’s manufacturing economy.”

The organization commended Ledbetter and Gudger for their commitment to economic development, workforce readiness and infrastructure investment.

“Speaker Ledbetter and Pro Tem Gudger have been unwavering advocates for Alabama’s manufacturing industry,” said Jon Barganier, president of Manufacture Alabama. “Their leadership has advanced pro-growth policies that create jobs, reduce red tape, and invest in our workforce and infrastructure. These two leaders understand what it takes to keep Alabama competitive and both have demonstrated a clear commitment to supporting industry, creating opportunity, and driving growth statewide.”

“Whether it be the 80,000 new jobs, $65 billion in investments, or the consistent national recognition as one of the top states to do business, it is clear that Alabama’s approach to economic development is not just working – it is winning,” Ledbetter said. “This success is built upon a foundation of strong partnerships, and that is exactly what Manufacture Alabama has brought to our state. I am proud to have their support and look forward to continuing our efforts to protect jobs and drive growth across this vital industry.”

“Manufacturing industries across Alabama have provided the solid foundation that our state’s economy is built upon, and keeping those industries healthy, growing, and competitive remains among the top priorities of the Alabama Legislature,” Gudger said. “Receiving Manufacture Alabama’s endorsement is a recognition of those ongoing efforts and demonstrates the close working relationship between the legislative leadership and the job creators in the business community.”
