TRUK PAC, the political arm of the Alabama Trucking Association, on Wednesday endorsed Derek Chen in his campaign for Alabama State Auditor.

“Derek Chen’s background, integrity, detail orientation and commitment to responsibility through public service make him uniquely qualified for the Alabama State Auditor race,” TRUK PAC Chairman Greg Brown said. “He is extremely mission-focused in providing transparency and stewardship for the citizens of our great state.”

TRUK PAC supports candidates who understand the importance of a strong transportation network, responsible financial policy and a regulatory environment that allows Alabama’s trucking industry to operate safely and efficiently.

“Trucking keeps Alabama’s economy moving, and I am ready to get to work helping the industry move forward,” Chen said. “I am grateful to have the support and endorsement of ATA, and I look forward to partnering with them on issues affecting Alabama trucking.”

Chen emphasized that a strong trucking industry depends on reliable infrastructure, responsible use of taxpayer dollars and a transparent, efficient state government.

“As State Auditor, my focus is on accountability and efficiency,” Chen said. “When government works the way it should, industries like trucking are able to do what they do best: keep Alabama working.”

The endorsement marks another step forward for Chen’s campaign as he continues to build support among industry leaders, workers and voters across the state, his campaign said.
