Qualifying for the Senate, Moore spoke about ushering in an “American Golden Age,” stressing his loyalty and experience under President Trump.

Congressman Barry Moore qualified last Friday for U.S. Senate at the Alabama GOP Headquarters in Birmingham. Moore made the following remarks to supporters and the media.

“Just under a year ago, our President was sworn in for his second term. It was the height of a decade-long journey that President Trump began when he came down the golden escalator and promised to Make America Great Again. On August 21, 2015, I was proud to join him on that journey as the first elected official in America to endorse Donald J. Trump for President.

“But January 20th of last year, when President Trump began his second term, wasn’t the end of the journey to Make America Great Again. It was the beginning. We’ve done so much already – shut down the illegal immigrants pouring over our borders, restored American strength abroad, and put a stop to the reckless lawfare of the Biden Administration.

“We have so much more to do, but look what this administration has already delivered. Families here in Alabama are finally getting some relief. Taxes are lower. Gas prices are down. Grocery bills are coming down. That’s real money back in the pockets of hardworking Alabamians, not government promises, but real results.

“We also have to make this country more affordable for working families by manufacturing things here in America again. Especially right here in Alabama. Not China.

“I’m blessed with children and grandchildren. There’s nothing more beautiful or important than raising a family. Our economy must make that possible by continuing to bring down the prices of housing, food, and healthcare.

“Under President Trump, we have seen crime and overdose deaths fall, but too many of our neighbors and children are still suffering. We have to keep fighting to enforce the law, because any death to drugs or criminals is one too many. And yes, when crimes are committed by illegal immigrants, they must be deported, no matter what left-wing radicals say.

“We are on the precipice of an American Golden Age if we have the strength to follow through. No state has stood with President Trump as long as Alabama. And no one in Alabama has stood with President Trump as long as I have.

“The President needs someone he can trust to usher in that Golden Age. We can’t trust a Senate seat on anyone untested or unproven. We need a spine of steel representing us in Washington to do what must be done – and someone who has the relationships and reputation to do it.

“I’m the only one with the relationships to start to work day one. We need that because we will only have 24 months left with President Trump. We simply don’t have time to train someone to legislate. We don’t have time to waste on them getting staffed and learning the process. There will be no learning curve for me. Again, I will be ready day one.

“I’m thankful to you all for being here. I’m thankful to my family and friends for standing with me, and I’m thankful to Jesus Christ for the chance to represent my home in Congress and for His calling on my life. With your help, I’ll be thankful to stand strong for Alabama in the U.S. Senate as we usher in the Golden Age of America and the Golden Age of Alabama. From Rocket City to Ft. Rucker, from Ft. Payne to Mobile and all cities in between… I will continue to work for the great state of Alabama. To get plugged in, go to BarryMooreforAlabama.com. God bless you all. God bless Alabama.”

Born and raised in Coffee County, Moore is a self-described Christian, husband, father and small-business owner who served in the Alabama National Guard Reserves.

Moore attended Auburn University, where he enlisted in the Alabama National Guard Reserves and met his wife, Heather. After college, Moore and his wife founded BMI, Inc., a waste removal and demolition company.

Elected to the House of Representatives in 2020, Moore is a member of the House Freedom Caucus. He was rated both the most conservative member in Alabama by CPAC and the state’s most effective legislator by the Center for Legislative Excellence.

Moore and his wife have four children, two grandchildren and two dogs. He still lives in Coffee County.
