APR stands by Rogers report

An article published by The Alabama Political Reporter (APR) has drawn fire from campaign operatives for freshman Senator Luther Strange and his attorney at his old law firm, Bradley Arrant.

An email containing a letter from Bradley partner Joseph B. Mays, Jr., was received by APR on June 30, in which he demands, “…removal and retraction of false and libelous statements in an article on your website titled, ‘Source: State Rep. Offered Superfund Bribe with Strange Present.'”

Brinson calls Strange “Mr. Corruption”

Wednesday June 28, 2017, Republican US Senate candidate Dr. Randy Brinson called Senator Luther Strange (R) “Mr. Corruption” at a news conference in Montgomery.  Brinson claimed that Luther Strange’s actions, while Alabama Attorney General, delayed the impeachment proceeding against former Governor Robert Bentley (R) and prolonged the Bentley saga.  Brinson suggested that Strange did this in order to get the US Senate appointment from the embattled Governor of February 9, to replace Sen. Jeff Sessions who became US Attorney General.

Well folks, the field is set for the sprint to fill the open US Senate seat of Jeff Sessions.

The primary is less than three months away on August 15. There will probably be a run-off on September 26 and the winner of that GOP run-off will be our Junior Senator from Alabama. In the Heart of Dixie, winning the Republican nomination is tantamount to election. The December 12 General Election will be a coronation for the winner of the September 26 Republican primary.

Almost 20 years ago, during Governor Fob James Administration, a group named A+, was actively lobbying the legislature to enact Outcomes Based Education. Under this model, children would be educated to perform certain tasks, rather than master specific subject matter such as mathematics, history, English and the sciences. To combat their efforts, Education Policy Advisor, Dick Brewbaker, formed Score 100, to emphasize the need to have students proficient in a broad area of subject matters in order to be given a high school diploma. In addition, parental objections arose over other positions promoted by A+, namely national English and history standards that sought to rewrite known facts regarding the triumph of Western Civilization as well as important aspects of factual events of importance such as the Revolutionary War and the American Civil War, and the diminution of American Exceptionalism.
