Alabama Republican Assembly endorses Roy Moore

Wednesday, July 26, 2017, the Alabama Republican Assembly (ALRA) announced that they were endorsing former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore (R) for US Senate.

ALRA President Jennifer Montrose cited the need to restore the integrity of the Republican Party based on correct moral and constitutional principles, when announcing the endorsement.  President Montrose said the the Alabama Republican Assembly (ALRA) is proud to endorse Judge Roy Moore for US Senate in next month’s special election. “Judge Moore is a proven fighter, personally and politically, and will stand strong for government that abides by the Constitution” said ALRA President Jennifer Montrose.

SE Region Director, Don Wallace, said that “while there are several good candidates that are running for this position and who would serve Alabama well in the Senate, the Republican Assembly voted overwhelmingly for Judge Moore because of his demonstrable commitment to conservative principles and a willingness to stand up against an out of control Federal Judiciary.”

ALRA said that Chief Justice Moore was twice elected as Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, and twice removed by what they called, “A corrupt, unelected, and unaccountable Judicial commission in Montgomery.”

Judge Moore stated, The Alabama Republican Assembly has long been recognized as the soul of the Republican Party, a guardian of liberty, of morality, and the values that Alabamians hold dear. As are the members of the Assembly, I am committed to a no-compromise approach to politics and will put our values before politics every single day. There’s a lot to be done in Washington and I look forward to working with members of the Alabama Republican Assembly as your next Senator.”

ALRA describes itself as a conservative, grassroots organization committed to free market principles, individual responsibility, lower taxes and regulation, defense of traditional marriage and protection of the unborn.

President Montrose said, “As President of ALRA, I encourage all conservatives to join us in supporting Judge Roy Moore in the August Republican Primary and in the expected runoff and general election to come. As evidenced by the waywardness and lack of leadership in Washington, I believe Judge Moore will stand like a stone wall against the tide of liberalism and immorality we see on display in the news each day.”

Most polling is showing Chief Justice Moore either in first place or tied for first place.

The special major party primary is August 15, 2017.
