Wood to seek re-election for House District 38

Wood is seeking re-election to a second term.

Rep. Debby Hamby Wood, R-Valley, qualified Tuesday for the May 24 Republican primary.  She is seeking re-election to a second term representing District 38 in the Alabama House.

“It’s been my honor and privilege to serve the people of Lee and Chambers Counties these last three years,” Wood said. ” I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish and looking forward to doing even more to make our district a better place for our families, our children and our grandchildren.”

Wood is a small businesswoman from Valley, Alabama.

The primaries for each party will be held May 24, with the general election scheduled for Nov. 8.
