The Alabama Farmers Federation has endorsed Cindy Myrex for Alabama House of Representatives District 12 to fill the vacancy created by the recent resignation of Rep. Corey Harbison, R-Good Hope.
Gov. Kay Ivey has set the special primary election for Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
Myrex is a lifelong resident of Cullman. She graduated from Cold Springs High School and attended Wallace Community College, where she received her real estate license. Myrex is a sales agent for Lake Homes Realty, where she specializes in Smith Lake and Cullman County properties.
Myrex is politically active in her community having served as a Trump Alternate Delegate to the 2024 National Republican Convention. She was also elected to the Alabama Republican State Executive Committee for Cullman County.
“It is an honor to have the endorsement of the farmers of this county,” said Myrex. “They share my campaign focus of faith, family and freedom. We will work well together to ensure the best interests of all the people of HD 12 are met.”
District 12 covers the southern and western portions of Cullman County.
Cullman County Farmers Federation President Lee Haynes said, “Cindy Myrex is a hard worker who not only shares our work ethic but also our conservative values. She’ll represent us well in the Legislature.”
“The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization with more than 362,000 member families. It uses a true grassroots approach to endorse candidates, relying on decisions made by county Federation boards for local elections,” the organization shared.
Myrex and her husband, Ricky, are active members of Temple Baptist Church. They have two adult children, four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. They reside in the Smith Lake and Bremen area.
