The Alabama Forestry Association announced Thursday its endorsement of U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville for governor of Alabama.
The AFA said he has been a staunch supporter of the forest industry, supporting bills like the “Disaster Reforestation Act” and standing strong against the “European Union Deforestation Regulations.”
The AFA also said Tuberville has a long record of successful leadership and recognizes what Alabamians need. “He has worked to protect women’s sports, supported law enforcement, advocated for rural communities, and fought for fiscally responsible policies,” the AFA said.
“I am grateful to be endorsed by the Alabama Forestry Association,” Tuberville said. “During my time in the Senate, I have worked to support Alabama’s foresters and producers who were hit hard by the Biden administration’s unnecessary regulations that made prices skyrocket. As governor, I will work to cut ridiculous red tape, reduce inflation, and get government out of the way.”
In 2024, Tuberville toured the state learning about Alabama’s forest industry. “From the stump to the mill, he was able to see, hear, and understand the industry’s needs and challenges. Tuberville took that knowledge to Washington and has not stopped fighting for the best interest of Alabama’s landowners, loggers, and manufacturers,” the AFA said.
“Coach’s record is second to none in fighting for the forest industry in the U.S. Senate,” said Chris Isaacson, AFA president and CEO. “His work to roll back regulations that hinder businesses and fight for Alabama First policies form the foundation for his platform. He is the leader that Alabama needs and AFA is proud to endorse Coach for Governor.”
The primary election will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
