ProgressPAC, the Business Council of Alabama’s political affiliate, announced Wednesday its endorsement of Clint Hollingsworth in the upcoming special election for District 12 in the Alabama House of Representatives.
“Clint Hollingsworth is a small business owner, a Cullman City Councilman, and a long-time resident of Cullman County. He understands first-hand the challenges and opportunities facing Alabama’s business community,” said ProgressPAC Chairman Gary Smith. “With more than 17 years of public service, Clint has built a reputation for solving problems with a morally driven and common-sense approach. His deep experience working to improve education, infrastructure, and economic development makes him uniquely qualified to serve in the Alabama House of Representatives.”
“Clint Hollingsworth brings a valuable combination of business experience and public service to the table,” said Helena Duncan, BCA president and CEO. “He’s not only helped grow a business from the ground up, but he’s also spent years working to improve his community through smart policy and leadership. Clint knows what it takes to support local economies, attract investment, and foster job creation. He’ll be a strong, steady advocate for pro-business policies in the Alabama House.”
The House District 12 election offers a key opportunity to promote economic development and support local families and businesses throughout the state. BCA said they believe Hollingsworth will serve as a strong advocate and representative for the district’s best interests.
The special primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, 2025. The special primary runoff, if necessary, is set for Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, and the special general election is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
