New website provides state-by-state info on detrimental effects of “Big, Beautiful Bill”

A website highlights job losses, health care cuts and increased costs for Alabamians thanks to Trump’s spending bill.

In the wake of Donald Trump and Republicans pushing through their unpopular “big, beautiful” spending bill, the Democratic National Committee on Wednesday launched a website that breaks down just how devastating the package will be working class Americans in all states.

At TrumpTax.com, the DNC provides detailed information on the costs per family, job losses, energy price increases and other detrimental effects of the bill – all of it broken down by state.

One of the hardest hit states– even before disastrous cuts to federal education dollars – is Alabama, where the average family can expect to pay at least $1,700 more per year and see a more than 8-percent increase in energy prices.

“Donald Trump promised to lower costs on Day One, but six months into his disastrous second term, he’s robbing working Alabamians to fund tax handouts for his billionaire backers,” said DNC Chairman Ken Martin.

“The Trump Tax is the largest redistribution of wealth and the largest cut to health care in Alabama history. While Trump plunges our economy towards crisis, the Trump Tax guarantees Alabamians will feel the pain from his disastrous economic agenda. That’s why the DNC launched TrumpTax.com — to show Americans the dire effects of Trump’s policies in Alabama.

“Make no mistake: Trump is a lying fraud who doesn’t give a damn about our children, grandparents, or our Alabama communities,” Martin said.

According to TrumpTax.com, Alabama will also lose out bigly when it comes to health care, with more than 220,000 Alabamians set to lose health care and at least five rural hospitals teetering on the brink of closure.

More than 61,000 Alabamians could lose their food assistance, and the bill could cost Alabama more than 57,000 jobs.

At the same time, the bill hands out massive tax breaks to the wealthy, with billionaires and wealthy corporations now able to write off the full cost of private jets and the top 1 percent of earners set to see the largest tax break in the nation’s history.

All of that while growing the federal debt by $3.3 trillion dollars and spurring inflation, which rose to its highest level in June since the inauguration of Trump.
