Rep. Sewell to host live Telephone Town Hall on Thursday

Sewell will continue her Congress in Your Community Tour, hosting a live Telephone Town Hall to discuss tariffs, education, and healthcare cuts.

On Thursday, August 21, at 6:30 p.m., U.S. Representative Terri Sewell, D-Alabama, will continue her “Congress in Your Community” Tour, hosting a live Telephone Town Hall.

Sewell and her special guests will discuss the latest on tariffs, education funding, and President Donald Trump’s cuts to health care and food assistance. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions or just listen in.

Constituents wanting to join the Town Hall should register in advance to receive a call by visiting Sewell’s official website.

Robyn Hyden, executive director of Alabama Arise; Dr. David Hicks, health officer with Jefferson County Department of Health; and Dr. Eric Mackey, Alabama state superintendent of education, will also participate.

The event will also be streamed live on Sewell’s official Facebook page.
