The Alabama Farmers Federation announced Wednesday its endorsement of Representative Kenneth Paschal for House District 73 in Shelby County. The district covers portions of Pelham, Alabaster, Helena and Montevallo.
“Kenneth Paschal represents his district with unwavering dedication to the values of God and country,” said John Deloach, president of the Shelby County Farmers Federation. “Growing up working on his grandparent’s farm gives him firsthand knowledge of the issues we face, and we know he will continue to be a voice for us in Montgomery.”
Prior to public service, Paschal served and retired from the U.S. Army as a first sergeant after 21 years of service.
Paschal serves as vice chairman of the House Military and Veterans Affairs Committee. He serves on the Education Policy Committee and the Constitution, Campaigns and Elections Committee as well as the Alabama USA Semiquincentennial Commission.
“I appreciate the support of the Shelby County farmers because we share the same conservative values, work ethic and love for our state and our country,” said Paschal. “Agriculture is the backbone of our state, and I’m committed to defending our farmers’ rights, protecting our land and preserving our freedom.”
Paschal resides in Pelham and attends First Baptist Church of Pelham. He has one daughter.
The Alabama Farmers Federation is the state’s largest farm organization with more than 350,000 member families. It uses a grassroots approach to select candidates, relying on Alabama FarmPAC endorsements from county Farmers Federation boards of directors for local elections.
