Nine campaign committees, PACs still have not filed 2016 Annual Reports

Wednesday, the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office published a list of principal campaign committees and political action committees that have yet to file their 2016 Annual Report. This report documents all money raised or spent by a candidate or committee each year.

The Secretary of State’s Office says that it made numerous attempts to notify each committee member listed in the FCPA system starting May 1, 2017. Notice was delivered to each committee by phone, mail and email.

Tea Party group endorses Mo Brooks in Senate race

A Tea Party Political Action Committee announced yesterday their endorsement of Alabama US Representative Mo Brooks in his campaign for the Senate seat left vacant by Jeff Sessions’ appointment to Attorney General.

The Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund endorsed Brooks yesterday calling him a “fearless leader and a fighter” for Tea Party issues.

Jenny Martin, the chairwoman of the group, said they were concerned about who would take over the US Senate seat left vacant by Jeff Sessions appointment to Attorney General. She said the group was “thrilled” when Brooks decided he would run for the seat.
