Holidays are best spent with close family members, but Easter is also time to acknowledge: friends, supporters, and constituents and many of Alabama’s political persons used social media to share their holiday greetings.

U.S. Representative Bradley Byrne (R) from Montrose said in a written statement: “Today we celebrate that ‘He is risen indeed’ as we give thanks for Jesus Christ’s blessing of salvation for our sins. Easter is a time to reflect on our many blessings in Southwest Alabama. Rebecca and I wish all of our friends and neighbors in Alabama’s First Congressional District a Happy Easter.”

U.S. Rep. Martha Roby (R) from Montgomery said on Facebook, “Wishing you and your family a blessed Easter Sunday! He is risen!”

Alabama Republican Party Chairman Bill Armistead (R) said on Facebook, “Easter is a special day for those who love the Lord and it was especially special today as my son Beau baptized his son Cole. There is no greater joy than to know your children and their children are walking with the Lord.”

The Speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives Mike Hubbard (R) from Auburn said on Facebook,

“I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed Easter. May we all rejoice in his name.”

State Senator Scott Beason (R) from Gardendale said on Facebook, “I hope everyone had a great Resurrection Day. Thankful for what Jesus did for all of us. What we do with Him decides our eternity.”

Sen. Beason is a candidate in Congressional District Six.

Alabama Young Republican Federation Chairman Clayton Mark Turner said on Facebook, “Great Easter service this morning. Loved Rev. Boyd’s take on the Gospel of John calling us to the tomb; even if we don’t know why.”
