Republican National Committee announces support for Moore after previously cutting ties

On Tuesday, December 5, 2917 The Republican National Committee announced that it was resuming its support for U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore on Tuesday.

Alabama Republican Party Chairman Terry Lathan said in a statement regarding the RNC’s continued support for Moore.

“The Chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, Ronna McDaniel, has contacted us and confirmed that the RNC is transferring funds to the Alabama Republican Party for the Roy Moore campaign for the December 12 U.S. Senate election,” Lathan said. “We are grateful for the RNC’s partnership with the ALGOP in this race. We are also thankful for President Trump’s recent show of support in highlighting the major policy differences between the left-wing Democrat, Doug Jones, and the constitutional conservative, Republican Roy Moore.”

President Donald Trump gives full endorsement of Roy Moore

President Donald Trump went all in for the election of Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore to the U.S. Senate.

The president took to Twitter to announce his endorsement of Moore for the U.S. Senate.  The president followed that with a phone call to Moore from Air Force One where he expressed his enthusiastic support for Moore’s candidacy.

Trump called Moore a “fighter” and expressed his eagerness to have Moore fighting for his agenda in Washington. The president wrapped up the call with a “go get ’em, Roy!”

Reynolds “not happy” with the National Republican Senate Committee

Saturday, Alabama’s National Republican Committeeman Paul Reynolds told the Mid Alabama Republican Club, “I am not real happy with the NRSC at all.”

Reynolds said, “I represent the NRC, the National Republican Committee.” The Republican Governors nationwide are by and large a very good group. The NRCC, the National Republican Congressional Committee, “by and large they play ball with the NRC.”  “The NRSC [the National Republican Senate Committee] that is the Senators they don’t play ball with anybody. They act like they own everybody. The NRSC wants to tell us what we can say in our resolutions.”

Republican leadership gathers in Troy for summer meeting

Saturday, Republicans from across Alabama gathered at Troy University in Troy for the summer meeting of the Alabama Republican Executive Committee.

Rick Dearborn, who is the deputy chief of staff for the Trump White House was the featured speaker at the event. Dearborn was formerly Senator Jeff Sessions’ chief of staff. He, Sessions and former Sessions staffer, Stephen Miller, are all playing key roles in the administration of President Donald J. Trump. Dearborn praised Senator Sessions and was optimistic and upbeat about his service in the Trump administration.

Lathan re-elected as ALGOP Chairman

Saturday, February 25, 2017, the Alabama Republican Party Executive Committee met at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover and re-elected Chairman Terry Lathan.

Chairman Lathan was elected without opposition as was the rest of the leadership team.

The Chairman said in a statement, “I am deeply humbled to have earned my team’s trust for another term as Chairman of the Alabama Republican Party. Our focus will be to protect our successes and add to them. Clearly, conservative values and principles resonate with Alabama voters. The Republican Party will continue to champion our platform.”

RNC Says Alabamians Play “Essential Role” To Help Trump Win Florida

The Republican National Committee (RNC) says that efforts by Alabamians volunteering in Florida are essential for Donald Trump’s campaign in Florida.

The RNC National State Party Director, Matt Pinnell, wrote those comments in a memo to Joan Reynolds who Chairs the Mighty Alabama Strike Force (Florida).

Pinnell wrote, “First, let me thank you for agreeing to take on the additional Florida areas that we outlined during our recent conference call. Your state’s volunteer efforts are becoming more and more critical to a vital Trump win in Florida. In fact, RNC internals point to a major Alabama involvement in the Florida ground game being essential for that state’s victory on November 8.”

Republicans To Meet in Mobile on Saturday

The Alabama Republican Party State Executive Committee will gather for their biannual meeting in Mobile, Alabama this Saturday, February 27, 2016. The meeting will be held at the Arthur Outlaw Convention Center. The meeting is open to the public.

Later that evening, the Alabama Republican Party will host a reception and dinner for over 700 Republicans from around the state. The Party will salute the nation’s veterans and active military. Alabama Governor Robert Bentley (R), US Senator Richard Shelby (R), US Senator Jeff Sessions (R) and members of the United States Congress will be in attendance at the evening event.

MONTGOMERY—US Senate candidate Jonathon McConnell’s mom and dad seem to be spending a lot of time defending and apologizing for their 30-something-year-old son.

Recently, the candidate’s mother Susan emailed supporters, addressing the many accusations that have been leveled at her son. In an email, she seeks to assure voters that accusations of bribery, cheating in school, FEC fine and amnesty, are all false, and are simply attacks by incumbent, Sen. Richard Shelby.

Reynolds Addresses Shelby County Republican Women

Saturday, August 15, Alabama’s Republican National Committeeman Paul Reynolds spoke to the Republican Women of Shelby County at their regularly scheduled meeting in Pelham.

Vice-President Dawn Ray said that Paul Reynolds grew up on a peanut farm in Butler County. First got involved in Republican politics when he worked by Barry Goldwater’s Republican Presidential campaign in 1964. Reynolds has been a member of the Alabama Republican Executive Committee for 38 years, is in broadcast engineering and owns 97.7 FM. Reynolds presently his serving his second term on the Republican National Committee.

Alabama Free Market Alliance Opposes $150 million House GOP Tax Increase

Monday, May 11, the Founder of the Alabama Free Market Alliance Paul Reynolds released a statement opposing the tax package being promoted by Speaker of the House Mike Hubbard (R-Alabama) and his House GOP leadership team.

Reynolds wrote that, “Smaller government should be aspirational, not a fear tactic.”

Reynolds called the assertion that the state needs to raise taxes to match the growth in government spending, “An astounding – and baffling – assertion.”
