Sewell to continue Congress in Your Community Tour with stops in Wilcox, Lowndes

Every year, Sewell hosts a series of town halls in each of the 14 counties that make up Alabama’s 7th Congressional District.

Today, November 17, 2023, U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell, AL-07, will continue her “Congress in Your Community” tour, hosting town halls in Wilcox and Lowndes Counties. Rep. Sewell will announce the $595,041 for J. Paul Jones Hospital she helped secure in FY23 for local projects in Central Alabama. Every year, Rep. Sewell hosts a series of town halls in each of the 14 counties that make up Alabama’s 7th Congressional District.

At 10:30 a.m., today, Rep. Sewell will host a Wilcox County Town Hall in Camden at the Wilcox County Water and Sewer District building. Media are invited to join Rep. Sewell and J. Paul Jones Hospital CEO, Jessica McGraw, for a press availability at 10 a.m. at J. Paul Jones Hospital, where Sewell will announce $595,041 that she secured to modernize the hospital’s laboratory department. This funding is a part of the $42.8 million that Sewell secured in the Fiscal Year 2023 federal government funding package for local projects in the 7th Congressional District.

Also today, November 27, at 1:30 p.m., Rep. Sewell will host a Lowndes County Town Hall at Hayneville City Hall. Media are invited to join Rep. Sewell and local elected officials for a press availability at 1 p.m.
