The Alabama Associated General Contractors Political Action Committee, Alabama AGC PAC, announced its endorsement Tuesday of Caroleene Dobson for Alabama Secretary of State and Derek Chen for Alabama State Auditor in the 2026 statewide elections.
Alabama AGC PAC said its endorsements reflect the organization’s commitment to supporting candidates who demonstrate integrity, accountability, and a strong understanding of the regulatory and administrative environments that directly impact Alabama’s construction industry and business community.
“Caroleene Dobson and Derek Chen both bring exceptional professionalism and a deep commitment to transparent, business-minded governance,” said Billy Norrell, CEO of Alabama AGC. “Our members depend on leaders who appreciate the importance of efficient state operations and fair regulatory practices. We are confident that Caroleene and Derek will serve Alabama with the integrity and stewardship our state deserves.”
Alabama AGC stated it will continue to provide its members with information about the 2026 statewide elections and “encourages all voters to participate in shaping the future of Alabama’s business climate.”
