The Moore campaign said that seventy-six years ago, Christmas was interrupted in America when our military base at Pearl Harbor was attacked without warning.

The Moore campaign said that this historic event offers important context for their next question of Doug Jones. “Will Doug Jones kill our defense industry to fund Obamacare?”

“The world becomes unstable during times of American weakness.  That weakness should never be self-imposed,” said the Moore campaign in a release.  “Our enemies will only stand down when America stands up.  Obama gutted America’s military in a way that not only encouraged our enemies but discouraged our allies and put longstanding relationships with friends like Israel at risk.  Alabama has always been a strong industrial supporter of our military, and we should maintain that role with pride.”

U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore blasted his opponent, Doug Jones for supporting “Bernie Sanders style economics” that the Moore campaign claimed, “would crush small businesses, stifle the free market, and make it harder for everyday Alabamians to put food on the table.”

“Small businesses account for around two-thirds of American jobs,” Moore said. “Alabama business owners and entrepreneurs work hard every day to provide quality products, services, and jobs to our communities and they deserve to reap all of the benefits of a free market that is unencumbered by the burdens of the federal government. As your next United States Senator, I will work hard to roll back unnecessary government regulations, remove tax rules that punish small business owners, and join the President in promoting economic policies that put the needs of the American people first.”

“Now I want to address something that some people have come here to hear about,” Moore said in front of 50 or so supporters, turning his attention to the media who came to Alabama to report on this. “Shortly after becoming the Republican nominee for the United States Senate, the Washington Post began an attack on the Foundation for Moral Law, on my wife, and on me. For weeks, we read about my salary which they distorted, about taxes where they said we were paid money we never got. But we endured that.”

Thursday, Republican Senate candidates Roy Moore and Sen. Luther Strange, R-Ala., debated a number of issues in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate in Montgomery. Afterwards, supporters of both campaigns declared victory.

Former state Rep. Perry Hooper Jr., who is also chair of Trump’s Victory Committee in Alabama, endorsed Strange.

“The Debate tonight proved one important fact: Senator Luther Strange is s better fit to serve as Alabama’s Junior US Senator,” Hooper said. “Senator Strange was spot on discussing important issues. He was very knowledgeable, confident and looked Senatorial. Chief Justice Moore seemed confused at times and he had a hard time pronouncing words. The best line of the night was when Moore told the audience that God was in charge of his election, Strange replied by saying in all due respect, God is in charge of the election for both Moore and Luther, but one thing is for Sure President Trump is for Me. That was the best line of the night!”
