CULLMAN — A major road expansion is on the horizon for Cullman County after Gov. Robert Bentley signed off on funding to replace two bridges on Alabama Highway 157.
The funds were earmarked for drainage improvements in the city as part of ongoing attempts to improve stormwater drainage.
Aderholt requested more than $56 million for Alabama's 4th Congressional District, targeting infrastructure, education, and healthcare projects.
The Appalachian Regional Commission awarded Moundville $800,000 for downtown renovations, including new waterlines, street lighting and sidewalks.
The mayors of Foley, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach traveled to D.C. to advocate for federal support on infrastructure, tourism, and regional growth priorities.
