Funding approved for new bridges on Alabama 157

CULLMAN — A major road expansion is on the horizon for Cullman County after Gov. Robert Bentley signed off on funding to replace two bridges on Alabama Highway 157.

Over five years the state will get approximately $5.8 billion for highways and bridges, and hundreds of millions more for other infrastructure improvements.


The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded Alabama two Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity grants, which total $18,453,139.
