Governor Kay Ivey on Friday released a video message honoring the hardworking men and women “whose dedication strengthens Alabama and drives America forward,” according to a news release from her office.
Ivey’s message can be read below:
“The strength of America has always lived in the hardworking men and women who rise each morning determined to build a brighter future.
“Here in Alabama, that spirit is alive and well.
“From our factories and farms to our classrooms and construction sites, hardworking Alabamians continue to prove that there is no substitute for an honest day’s work.
“Today, we honor you.
“Thank you for all you do to make Alabama stronger and America greater.
“Happy Labor Day, y’all!”
